Section 2 : How to keep accountability strong

There are a number of steps both parties can take to help maintain healthy accountability. If these are included as regular features of your mentoring relationship, accountability should remain high.

Set Clear Expectations And Talk About Them Frequently
Mentors should be upfront about what they expect from their mentees and they shouldn’t be shy about holding them to account. Mentors should understand that their expectations are set in the best interests of the mentee, so holding them to account is preferred.

Mentees should bring both long term and short terms goals and be willing to commit to taking the steps necessary to realize them. They should expect that their mentor will help define those steps and keep them on the path.
