You asked for feedback, not a compliment

Section 1 : Feedback is not a performance review

25%

You don’t have to earn a “pass.” You’re not expected to nail it from the start. What matters is that you’re learning and improving as you go. But if your ego is tied up in being the one who always knows what they’re doing, feedback will always feel like a threat.

The truth is, feedback isn’t a verdict on your worth. It’s instead a window into how your work, your words, or your decisions are coming across to others. It’s not always easy to hear and it doesn’t always come wrapped in the perfect tone. But it’s one of the few ways you get a clearer picture of what’s really happening outside your own perspective.

You hopefully asked because you wanted to grow. Don’t treat the answer like an insult.
