Do your research before the interview

Section 3 : Preparing thoughtful questions

75%

One of the best ways to demonstrate your interest in the role and organization is by asking thoughtful, well-researched questions during the interview. These questions should go beyond the basics and show that you've taken the time to understand the company, it's product pipeline any challenges it faces.

For example, you might ask about recent projects the team has worked on and how the role you're applying for would contribute to future initiatives. Or, you could inquire about the organization's plans for growth and how it aligns with your career aspirations.

Avoid asking questions that could easily be answered by looking at the company's website or recent news articles. Instead, focus on questions that demonstrate you're thinking about how you can contribute to the organization and are genuinely interested in its future. You could also revisit a question they asked you that you may have struggled to answer, turning it into an opportunity to show your willingness to learn. This approach highlights that you're not beyond admitting where you might need to grow and that you're curious and open to learning, which are qualities many employers value.
