With modern scheduling applications, it’s easy for coworkers and team members to check your calendar and block off space for meetings - helpful for them, but not you. It removes your ability to control your calendar. Instead, you may want to consider blocking off productive time during which you don’t want people adding you to meetings.
This accomplishes two things. It helps prevent meetings that could otherwise be handled by a quick email or phone call, and it lets you better prioritize the meetings you’re involved with.
