Appreciation can take many forms. In some organizations, it presents as a hearty thank you for a job well done. For others, it might be increased responsibility and deepening trust. And, of course, getting paid your worth is all the pat on the back some people need.
If you can, talk with a few of your potential coworkers. Ask them what appreciation means to them and whether they’re afforded it. A company that appreciates its staff and does it in ways amenable to your preferences is worthy of strong consideration.
