An investment in yourself will always pay the highest returns. We know this yet when most people hear “research and development,” they think of organizations, innovation budgets, pilot projects and teams dedicated to future growth. R&D is serious work in companies because it is the thing that ensures the skills, the products, the thinking do not become outdated. Why not then think that we as people also need the same kind of ongoing investment to remain capable as life and work keep changing.
