Start of the year blues 

The start of a new year is “supposed” to feel motivating. Fresh goals, this renewed energy we are apparently meant to have and a sense of direction! Many of us are feeling the opposite, though. It does not feel like that at all. It feels like we were just here yesterday and never really broke for the holidays. It feels like the break should have been longer. Now you are back at work, but your mind is not fully there and you are slightly disoriented. The enthusiasm everyone talks about just feels forced and fake.
