Here's this week's SMDP Mentor Moment
Overlooked for a promotion

Few things sting more than seeing someone else get the promotion you thought was yours. The awkward congratulations, the sinking feeling at your desk and the doubt about whether you will ever be recognized all combine into a difficult moment. It generally just sucks. It can make you want to shut down or even leave. How you respond in those moments sets the tone for what happens next. The decision is already made, so your next steps determine if this becomes a wall for you.
