No one really likes to admit it, but politics exists in every workplace. It’s the subtle decisions about who gets included in a meeting, whose ideas get taken seriously, or who has access to the really important information. Many people try to avoid it completely, thinking they are above it or that ignoring it will protect them somehow. Unfortunately, pretending it doesn’t exist, does not make it go away, it only leaves you unprepared.
