Where is the life you pictured for so long? You have been following the plan exactly like you were supposed to and still nothing is happening “like it should”. Working hard has never been a problem for you, you have always had the vision at the back of your mind, the goals you set for your personal life and career are very reasonable to you and you have not strayed from the plan.
