It feels awkward, right? You respect them and you have learned a lot from them, but now they are saying things you just do not agree with. Maybe it is advice that does not sit right or a direction you are not willing to go and now, you are left wondering if you are being difficult, ungrateful or just wrong. You know they have more experience, but something about what they are suggesting just does not work for you. Where do you go from here?
