When good things happen, people are quick to call it luck. They will say you are lucky to have that job, lucky to have made it, lucky to be where you are. And you might say so too sometimes. Maybe because it feels easier than explaining all the things you had to do just to be standing where you are now. Maybe because you don’t want to sound like you are bragging. Or maybe because a part of you still struggles to believe you have actually earned it.
