Dear SMDP Community,

SMDP Call for Applicants

Applications are now open for the 2025 SMDP Biotech & MedTech programs! This one-year career mentoring program connects ethnically diverse students and early career researchers with industry mentors from leading companies in the medical technology, biotechnology and consumer healthcare industries.

Eligible applicants include undergraduate Juniors & Seniors, Baccalaureate, graduate, Ph.D. students or Post-Doctoral researchers from racial and ethnic groups (Hispanic Americans, Pacific Islanders, African Americans and Native Americans), underrepresented in the medical technology, biotechnology and consumer healthcare workforce.

Applicants must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without needing a visa or sponsorship.

Scholars will participate in a 5-day training session alongside their mentors to explore industry career opportunities and receive career development coaching. Virtually all expenses for the in-person training and the one year virtual mentoring program are covered.
