Here's this week's SMDP Mentor Moment
The art of self-compassion

The art of self-compassion

Life brings moments when we're often our own harshest critics, quick to judge and dwell on our mistakes. In difficult times, our inner voice can become even harsher, focusing on perceived failures and ignoring what we’ve done right. But self-compassion is essential to our well-being and resilience. It’s about showing yourself the same kindness you'd offer a friend, especially when times are tough. Unlike self-pity or lowering standards, self-compassion is a conscious act of recognizing your own humanity and responding with understanding instead of criticism.
