Here's this week's SMDP Mentor Moment
No need to take a plane to travel

No need to take a plane to travel

In our quest for change, adventure and new experiences, it's easy to overlook the opportunities available right where we are. When we have been in a place for too long, we stop appreciating the things available to us because we assume they will always be there. This not only diminishes our appreciation of the opportunities we have right here, but also stifles our curiosity and prevents us from discovering what we haven't noticed before. The idea that travel requires a plane ticket and a distant destination is a common misconception. In reality, there is so much to explore in our immediate surroundings, both personally and professionally. We can find ample opportunities for growth, learning and adventure without the need to travel far by looking closer to home and leveraging the resources at our disposal.
