Not everyone is going to understand your choices. Especially when they’re used to you being one way. Initially, you might feel the need to over-explain why you’ve changed, why you don’t do certain things anymore or why you’ve stopped chasing the things you used to think matter to you. But you really don’t owe anyone a full breakdown because not everyone is meant to walk with you through your growth.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is quietly adjust and let your actions speak for themselves. The people who care about you and know you well will see it. The ones who don’t might assume things or take it personally, but again, that’s not yours to manage. You are allowed to outgrow habits, people, expectations and even dreams that no longer make sense for you. And you don’t need to justify that growth to anyone.
