Figure out what holds you back

Section 1 : Recognize internal obstacles

25%

Internal obstacles are often more challenging to identify and address as they involve your mindset, beliefs and attitudes. These can include self-doubt, fear of failure, perfectionism, procrastination or negative thinking patterns. Recognizing these internal barriers requires honest self-reflection and a willingness to confront your own limitations. It is the first step towards overcoming them.

Self-doubt can cripple your confidence and prevent you from taking necessary risks. If you constantly question your abilities and decisions, it’s important to acknowledge this mindset and work towards building self-confidence.

Perfectionism is one of the internal barriers that can lead to paralysis by analysis. Striving for perfection often results in delays and missed opportunities. Accept that perfection is unattainable and focus on making progress instead of waiting for perfect conditions.

Procrastination, driven by fear or lack of motivation, can also hinder progress. Set clear goals, break them down into manageable tasks and hold yourself accountable to combat procrastination. You can also seek support from colleagues or mentors, who might provide guidance or insights and can also hold you accountable.
