Just because you feel resentful doesn’t mean someone wronged you. Resentment is often what builds when you keep silencing your own needs. It’s a sign that something needs to be said, not proof that someone else did something wrong.
Yes, people should treat you with care but how can they do that if they think you’re fine. Don’t wait until you’re fuming to be honest because that almost always never goes well. You deserve to say no early, before the anger builds. And the people around you deserve a chance to respect a boundary that’s been clearly set. It’s not fair to expect people to guess.
