What you do here will determine the success of your branding. You have taken control of your brand, so you will need to define who your target audience should be. For example, you could begin to build your network and engage your target audience by serving as a volunteer or offering free advice.  Always give without expecting anything in return. 

Create a blog through a free site like WordPress and post content on your social media channels.  If you need ideas for content, establish a Google Alert to receive daily news updates on topics of interest.  During this process, you won’t be able to please or engage everyone, so stay focused on your target and who your brand aims to connect with.

Eventually you will find yourself in a better position. Your currency will suddenly shift from volunteerism to a gain of rewards, such as job opportunities, promotions, added responsibilities, greater visibility, taking on advanced projects, earning increased compensation or gaining greater recognition for your work.
