The SMDP Portal includes a web-based Mentoring Plan tool which supports mentor-mentee collaboration and goal setting. Select My Mentoring Plan from the drop down menu under the My Profile link (top right of your screen).
Mentees are responsible for setting up and maintaining their mentoring plans. With the guidance of their mentor, the mentee develops a Personalized Mentoring Plan which includes goals and action items designed to prepare the mentee for a medical technology, biotechnology or consumer healthcare industry career.
Mentors can view their mentee's mentoring plan and can edit it.
SMDP Scholars are paired with industry mentors for one year following the SMDP Training Session.
SMDP Gateway members can request a mentor. SMDP alumni serve as volunteer mentors for SMDP Gateway members. Once paired with a SMDP alumni mentor, Gateway members communicate directly with their mentors and carry out a virtual mentoring plan for one year.
